Wilson Ted Williams Speed Ball Horsehide Cover Felt Center A1282 Faint Autograph

Family estate, dresser drawer find. The late owner was born in 1945 and lived in San Francisco until 1965. There is a very faint handwritten  “Ted Williams” autograph visible. We do not know the history of the ball, but it was well protected in a dresser sock drawer until the owner’s death. That’s all we know. Just to clarify, there is both the Wilson PRINTED Ted Williams signature, and the mysterious HANDWRITTEN Ted Williams signature on the ball.
Made in U.S.A. Wilson A1282 Ted Williams Speed Ball Horsehide Cover Felt Center. Stitching looks great, nothing is falling apart. Ball looks to be in good condition overall, but not bright white. It’s a little dirty as you can see.
