This ball was among a group of similar trophy balls recently discovered in an estate, and the provenance of the ball as told to me was that it was obtained by a Phillies Connie Mack Stadium bat boy.  The batboy would save foul balls that were returned to the dugout, note the batter, and later paint the balls with the batter's team colors and game info.
The ball is beautifully painted with Phillies Red and White colors, and is in nice overall condition.
The ball was fouled off by Dalrymple on June 16
, 1961 in a game versus the Cincinnati Reds; Dalyryple would go 0-3 in the game.
A fantastic looking piece of Phillies history.
