Fighting Space Man, Horikawa, Japan, 1962:
Now offered for auction:  One  Fighting Spaceman Robot by ,Horikawa, Japan, 1962.  In early 1962, Horikawa began marketing an 11 1/2-inch robot which combined the best elements from multiple platforms of other toy robots they produced:  the clear-plastic torso of the High Wheel and Engine Robots (1960's), and the chest-firing action of 11-inch Astronaut/Robots.  And because this was Horikawa, there were not one, but two, versions available (Robot and Space Man), giving kids both a hero and an adversary for playtime.
