2002 Ebbets Field Flannels/Stall & Dean 1943 Great Lakes Naval Station baseball team jersey in size XL.  This jersey measures 25” armpit-to-armpit and 30” from the top of the next to the end of the shirt tail.  It’s in superb condition with no blemishes or stains and kept in a smoke free home.  I am the original owner.  This jersey is from the 2002 marketing partnership between Ebbets Field Flannels and longtime American sports uniform and equipment manufacturer Stall & Dean.  Stall & Dean, founded in 1898, was legendary in the sporting goods scene for many years.
The Great Lakes Naval Station, Illinois team was one of the best military baseball squads during World War II.  It compiled a record of 188-32 over the duration of the war.  The team was managed by the retired major leaguer Mickey Cochrane (Hall of Fame, Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers).  Among the legendary sailors that suited up for Great Lakes were Bob Feller (Hall of Fame, Cleveland Indians) and Johnny Mize (Hall of Fame, St. Louis Cardinals, New York Giants, New York Yankees).  Other major leaguers like pitcher, Lynwood “Schoolboy” Rowe also played for Great Lakes.
