    Description

    Cir. 1890 The Heroes Of The Civil War W. Duke Sons & Co Album Cigarette Cards. Condition is overall good except for the spot on the cover of the top edge missing and the streak going down the middle. The first page has about the same amount missing and the second page with general grant has a spot of discoloration. After that there is only a few spots of foxing throughout until you get to back cover where you have some spots missing on edge,  little tearing and some areas of creasing. Including covers there are 32 individual pages, four pages with full color illustrations, including Merrimac and Monitor Naval Battle, Gen. U. S. Grant & Gen. Robt E. Lee, the battle of Gettysburg, and The Battle of Manassas, or Second Bull Run. The first page has an interesting description of the reality of America and how though they fought just a short while before this book was published, respected both sides as a united country and saw how there were many heroes throughout.
