    Description

    Attacking Martian, Japan, 1960's:
Now offered for auction:  One  Attacking Martian Robot by Horikawa, Japan, 1960's, from the Golden Era of Robots .  11-inches tall, this is a very early version with the silver fly eyes and neon green chest windows.  Seller put two D batteries in and switched it on.  The robot immediately made a loud grinding noise as it tried to move forward, but did more of a moon walk!  Likely needs foot cog adjusted.  Then it stopped and the chest doors flew open and twin machine guns made a loud rat-a-tat-tat sound and lit up, then stopped, the chest doors closed and the robot started lurching forward again.  Very cool action!  Battery compartment is clean, paint is very nice with a small bit of oxidation, mostly on the battery compartment door.  Buyer pays shipping and insurance is required.  Good luck bidders!  Please check our other auctions for more robots and other cool collectibles.
