    Description

    This listing is for a vintage MOON ROBOT, aka "Ribbon" Robby the Robot, made by Yonezawa, Japan, in the 1950s. This rare and desirable robot is one of the largest wind-up robots from that era and features turning metal "ribbons" in the head. The robot measures approximately 11 inches tall and is made of tin with rubber hands/ears and plastic dome. There is a built-in key on the side and an ON/OFF switch in front. The robot is in excellent condition overall. It is all original except for the replacement dome, which was made years ago and difficult to replicate because of its distinctive pink color. The robot still works great--walks forward with with sparking mouth and turning ribbons. The ON/OFF switch works, too. On consignment. Please click on my STORE above for more vintage toys and robots.
