    Description

    Series of 50 cards . This is one of the most sought after tobacco card sets. This series depicts paintings of the period's most famous Native Americans - many of whom were alive at the time of the issue. The colored paintings are housed in the Library of Congress and are used in several other popular issues,including the rare N36 tobacco series plus a Canadian candy set.
    The lithographic work was done by Lindner, Eddy ,& Clauss, and the date of the issue was 1888.
    The last two cards pictured are the ones in worse shape out of the set.
