    Description

Offered here are 13 large b/w glossy portraits of German film stars of the 1930s, issued in 1938 by the Mahalesi Cigarette Co. and Union Cigarette Co. The pictures have no printing on the back, with the exception of the picture of Annabella (Union Cig. Co) and Emil Jannings, which has a partial index of the Mahalesi pictures on the back. Both companies issued the pictures in eight groups of 25. Four of the pictures offered here have a stamp on the back showing that they were once owned by an archive in Berlin. Pictured here are: Gusti Wolf (Group 4), Paul Richter (Group 4), Karl Ludwig Diehl (Group 8), Emil Jannings (Group 6), Georg Alexander (Group 5), Willy Eichberger (Group 5), Hermann Speelmans (Group 1, 2 or 3), Paul Kemp (Group 1, 2 or 3), Albert Matterstock (Group 5), Annabella (Group 7), Liane Haid (Group 4), Rudolf Forster (Group 5), Karl Schönböck (Group 6).
Each picture measures 7 inches by 5 inches.
